The parents of a 5-year-old girl in California said they’re getting $50 million for her $1 million worth of motorcycle training classes.
The family of Kaylee told KTVU that their daughter was going to be able to ride for free when she turned 6.
She had never done anything like that before, said the parents, who want to use the money to build new homes for her and other kids in need.
Kaylee’s mother, Laila Hodge, told KSDK that she has always wanted to be an air traffic controller and has always dreamed of getting one.
But her dream never happened.
“I’ve never been a pilot,” she said.
Hodge said she and her husband have worked at a company for five years, but now, she says, she has to work overtime and can’t afford the rent.
I’m not able to do that, she said, adding that her husband has had a heart attack and needs medical care.
He is now on ventilators.
They’ve started a GoFundMe page to raise money for Kaylee’s medical bills.
Their daughter’s dad, Dave, said he feels like he’s in a bubble.
This is a huge amount of money, he said.
He’s not sure where it is going to go, and I don’t know how to raise a $50-million dollar fund to help.
