A new floral training course with former Red Wings defenseman Datsierkas has been offered to members of the Detroit Red Wings training staff, the team announced Wednesday.
The course, which will be offered during the team’s annual training camp, will be a “wonderfull experience” for defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka, the club announced.
Jokipaks, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound defenseman who has played in more than 700 NHL games, is currently in the midst of a contract dispute.
The program will be part of the Red Wings annual training camps, which begin Tuesday.
Jokips participation is subject to approval by the team and his agent.
The class will include “practicing with the flowers and plants,” according to the team.
It will be held Aug. 1-7.
The Red Wings will also host the Blue Jackets on Friday and Saturday at Joe Louis Arena.
